Hi Friends! I like to make several of my Thanksgiving side dishes ahead of time and I thought that I would just go ahead and make a video for you as I made our green bean casserole today.
It is delicious and pretty easy to make.
*Please note: I wrongly said 4 Tablespoons of Flour in the video. It is supposed to be 4 Teaspoons of flour. Just like the recipe below.
Recipe for Gourmet Green Bean Casserole
2 (14 oz) cans French Cut Green Beans-Drained
6 TBS Butter Divided
4 TBS minced Onion
4 Teaspoons Flour
1tsp
Salt
1 tsp Pepper
2 Cups Sour Cream
2 TBS Dijon Mustard
1 Cup Shredded Swiss Cheese
1/2 Cup Bread Crumbs
Melt 3 TBS butter in a large pot, add onions and saute. Add flour, salt, and pepper and cook until bubbly.
Remove from heat and add, sour cream and mustard, stirring constantly. Add beans and cheese to the sauce. Put in a casserole dish.
Melt the remaining 3 TBS butter and add bread crumbs.
Top mixture with bread crumbs and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
