Have you ever made your own laundry detergent? It is easier than you think.
Watch today’s video from the archives to learn all about why and how I make mine.
You will need;
8 Cups of Water
1 Bar Fels-Naptha Soap (grated)
1 cup Borax
1 cup Oxiclean
1 cup Washing Soda
5 Gallon Bucket
In a large stockpot heat 8 cups of water. Add the grated soap and stir until melted. Gradually add borax, Oxiclean, and Washing Soda.
Stir until all ingredients are melted. (you can add some essential oils of your choice, I like Rosemary & Geranium)
This is your concentrate.
Fill your 5 Gallon Bucket 3/4 of the way full of cold water and add the concentrate. Stir well. Set aside, undisturbed for 24 hours. The laundry cleaner will resemble a gel-like substance. I use 1 cup per a load of laundry.
If you make it, let me know what you think!
